about

In 1999, Smiley hung up his mic, and transitioned into another career. It was a career in the world of professional wrestling.

From 1999 to the present Smiley has made an impact on the wrestling world having been featured on TV and pay per view, not to mention calendars, home videos and DVDs sold worldwide. Under the name GQ Money, Smiley had matches involving him getting slammed off a 30-foot tower into a kiddy pool of raw sewage, diving off a 20-foot high steel cage at the legendary Grand Olympic Auditorium, being tossed off the top of a car through a flaming table and many, many more outrageous and shocking moments. He had a brief stint with TNA Wrestling (currently on Spike-TV) and then returned back to California where he became pro wrestling’s most hated ring announcer (in wrestling being hated is good, you see, in wrestling, Smiley is a bad guy) on MTV’s Wrestling Society X. Smiley even opened up his own pro wrestling training school, to help others follow their dreams too.

In that same time span, aside from the wrestling; Smiley toured the country hosting a live comedy show with pop icon and adult film star Ron Jeremy. He starred on the TBS reality show He’s a Lady where he was tricked into living life like a woman, and was eliminated when Morgan Fairchild deemed his drunken behavior unladylike. It was because of that show that Smiley appeared as a guest on The Oprah Show. Smiley was a contestant and finalist in a contest to become the weatherman on Los Angeles’ CW affiliate KTLA, and he could also be seen late night on your TV for the hit infomercial product the AbRocket… Yep, he lost 30-pounds and got in the “Best shape of his life.” (He gained most of it back.☹)

With all of that going on, nothing is changed, Smiley as the same place he's been, and then means... back to Waiting Tables.

lyrics

Who would have thought it would happen to me?
Get picked, get cast for reality TV
I know it's not network,
but hey it's still cable
It don't mean squat, because I'm still Waiting Tables!
